Congratulations Rita Minguez, Lawrence, MA
My name is Rita Minguez; as a dedicated daycare owner and accomplished businesswoman, I have built a reputation for excellence in my field. As a single mother, I have raised two remarkable children, aged 14 and 16, who have been my constant motivation and source of pride.
Pursuing excellence in my profession, I have obtained a comprehensive array of certifications from the Massachusetts Department of Education and early care. These certifications include Teacher, Lead Teacher, Director I, Infant/Toddler, Preschool, and Director II. Furthermore, I hold a coveted CDA (Child Development Associate) credential, solidifying my expertise in nurturing and educating young minds.
My educational journey has been marked by resilience and determination. Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, I completed my studies at Urban College Boston, earning an Associate of Arts degree. This accomplishment is a testament to my unwavering commitment to personal and professional growth.
One of the most significant milestones in my career was the establishment of my daycare eight years ago. This opportunity arose from my invaluable experience as an assistant at an after-school program in Lawrence public school, where my children were students. Fueled by this firsthand experience and supported by specialized programs for parents attending school, I took the chance to become a licensed Family Child Care Provider in Lawrence, MA.
Within my community, I am known as a compassionate homeschooling advocate. My dedication to providing help and support to all, regardless of their circumstances or racial backgrounds, has earned me great respect and admiration. This passion for education was instilled in me from a young age, as I am the daughter of an early childhood teacher in my native country, the Dominican Republic. While my accomplishments are already significant, my thirst for knowledge remains unquenchable. I am committed to continuous learning, with the goal of obtaining a higher degree in education. Doing so will equip me with the latest methodologies and enrich my extensive experience, ensuring I remain at the forefront of my field.
My daycare program is a testament to my unwavering dedication to child development. I offer a nurturing and stimulating environment where children receive personalized care and participate in a comprehensive preschool program meticulously designed to prepare them for the challenges of kindergarten. Additionally, I provide after-school support, ensuring each child has the necessary assistance to excel in their studies.
Central to my program is a thoughtfully crafted curriculum that caters to the unique needs of each child. This curriculum encompasses various subjects, including circle time, literacy, art, math, reading, and science. Furthermore, we conduct age and stage assessments (ASQ), which are invaluable tools in tailoring our approach to meet each child's developmental milestones.
Celebrating diversity and fostering cultural understanding are integral parts of my daycare program. We embrace a multicultural approach, offering classes and exposing children to traditions worldwide. Of course, we always prioritize parental involvement and ensure that each child feels safe and respected.
Within the walls of my program, I take great pride in providing a secure, educational, and nurturing environment. Healthy eating habits are also a significant focus, as proper nutrition is crucial for a child's overall well-being.
My commitment to delivering exceptional childcare stems from my passion for the early childhood education community. The love and appreciation I receive from the children I serve are beyond measure, making each day a joyous and rewarding experience. Working with children is a profession and a calling to teach values that will guide them throughout their lives.
I owe a debt of gratitude to Shared Services, an organization that has been instrumental in my professional growth. Their invaluable workshops have equipped me with the financial management skills necessary to thrive in my profession. I am immensely thankful for the knowledge and unwavering support that Shared Services of Massachusetts has provided me.
My greatest inspiration and source of strength has always been my sons, Richard and Regart. Witnessing their unwavering commitment to academic excellence year after year fills me with immeasurable pride. My unwavering support system has motivated me to strive for greatness.
