Congratulations Karen Neira, Hyannis, MA
My name is Karen Neira. I am Brazilian and I came from Brazil 23 years ago. My passion for teaching began when I was in university studying chemical engineering. From there, I started teaching and supporting children, and I have never stopped since then. I have two wonderful children who also received care in a family childcare setting.
In 2016, I decided to open my own family childcare program. I have always aimed to support children in need and families who require assistance. In 2020, I completed my studies in Neuroscience, Positive Psychology, and Mindfulness. I began my journey by supporting other educators through training and working with PDC.
Participating in the business workshop offered by shared services in 2020 was so great in providing me with the support I needed for professional success. I now have the honor of being the instructor and coach of the business workshop offered in Portuguese. I am extremely grateful to Shared Services for providing this workshop.
Having this knowledge in business earlier in my career as a family childcare provider would have been invaluable. In a project review from my time at MIT studying neuroscience for business, I was told this that I really believe:
"Attract what you expect, reflect what you desire, become what you respect, and mirror what you admire."
I am also an author of a few books and they are called “Gratitude journal for children” and “How to bring calmness in children”.
Thank you Shared Services for supporting me and all the early educators in Massachusetts.
You can find Karen’s books on Amazon.
