Congratulations Carolina Rolon, Revere, MA
My name is Carolina Rolon, I am Venezuelan and I arrived in this country 6 years ago with my husband and my two children. I live in Revere, MA. Three years ago I managed to buy my house and with the purchase of it I started my business called Gaby's Magical World Daycare. I named it Gaby's in honor of my oldest daughter for supporting me with my youngest son when we arrived in this country, so that my husband and I could work, at that time I had 2 or even 3 jobs and spent a lot of time away from home. Through the pandemic, I worked day and night, in the cafeteria of two hospitals. We were given the opportunity to buy a house and with it came the idea of setting up a daycare to support parents who work like us. give them confidence and provide them with good service in the care and education of their children.
I always wanted to be a teacher, my inspiration has always been my two children. My idea of having a daycare was to spend more time at home and share more time with my two children and at the same time take care of and educate the little ones in the daycare as if they were my own children.
In these 3 years that I have been an educator, I have looked for a way to learn more every day about teaching and learning children. I am currently studying early childhood education, in which I have passed 27 credits at Urban College, and at the same time I participate in each Shared Services business workshop to obtain more knowledge of early education and thus be able to provide a better service in child care to each family belonging to my daycare. I offer children a creative and educational environment where we learn together about science, mathematics, the older ones already have a foundation in writing and reading. They learn Spanish as a second language.
I am passionate about teaching each child who is in daycare and seeing how their learning advances every day, my license is for 6 children and 4 of them have been here since I opened my doors to start this learning path with them. This year I will have a10 license and my motivation is to be able to provide more support to more families who need safe care and teaching for their children.
